Speaker Parish Room

24th  February 2017

The talk tonight was given by Steve Hopkins. The topic was The Community Council of Staffordshire. Steve must have enjoyed the experience of TMF because he later joined as a member

Walk and Buffet in the Parish Room

28th  July 2017

The July walk and buffet is one of the three occasions during the year when wives/partners are invited to join us. We had a rather wet walk around Eccleshall followed by a delightful meal served in the Parish Hall.

The meal served as a farewell to our retiring vicar, James,

The Reverend James Graham, Vicar of Holy Trinity, Eccleshall and St. Chad’s Slindon, President of TMF, retired at the end of July 2017.

He has blessed us with his presence over the past 17 years.

Day trip to Cardiff

7th  September 2017

On arriving in Cardiff some left the coach at the Castle whilst others travelled to the Welsh Assembly Building on the waterfront. Others toured the city in water taxis or an open topped bus..

An excellent day enjoyed by all.

Talk by Eccleshall First Responder - Parish Room

24th  November 2017

The talk tonight was given by Martin Watson who has been a First Responder for 12 years. He had brought along a CPR manikin and a defibrillator machine. He demonstrated the use of both. He gave us many helpful bits of information on how to deal with a casualty. The most important suggestion to come out of the evening was “Don’t just stand there - DO SOMETHING!”. An excellent talk

Holy Trinity Christmas Fair

2nd  December 2017

The TMF ran a Tombola stall as usual at the Christmas Fair. The afternoon prior to the event we put out the tables, arranged the prizes and put the tickets onto the prize and in the drum. On the day it was very hectic. People were buying tickets as quickly as we could sell them. Every time a prize was won the bell rang which in turn attracted even more customers.

A great event and made all the better by beating our record amount and taking in over £700. Well done all!

The location for the Christmas Lunch this year was

The Hollybush

The Officers were re-elected.

Remembrance Sunday - Holy Trinity

 12th November 2017

Holy Trinity was full today for the Remembrance Service. There were representatives from  all the services, the Scouts, Guides, Cubs and Brownies as well as the various organisations from Eccleshall including the TMF. The service was take by Bishop Geoff. The names of all those who gave up their lives during WW! And WW2 were read out. We then moved out to the war memorial where we observed the silence at eleven o’clock, followed by the laying of the wreaths. Our Chairman was responsible for laying the TMF wreath.
